A. C. ALLEN, JR.

A. C. ALLEN.

CHARLOTTE M. ALLEN.

Samuel L. Allen was married late in life, being considerably above fifty years of age. He was united in marriage to Miss Margaret E. Caffrey, of Yazoo County, Miss., daughter of Margaret P. and her husband, Thomas T. Caffrey.

Mr. Allen resided in Houston until his death, which occurred in his eighty-seventh year. He left an only child, a son, named Augustus C. Allen in honor of Mr. Allen's deceased brother, one of the founders of the city of Houston. His son is a practicing attorney of learning and ability, and occupies an enviable position at the bar in that city and his section of the State.
